NSS is a co-curricular activity, designed for education through service to the society and prepare the students to be useful to society. The College has two NSS units under the guidance of Mr. Abdul Riyas K (Associate Professor, Department of Zoology) and Mr. Kabeer K T (Assistant Professor, Department of Economics). Every member of NSS has to attend a minimum of 120 hours of activities and compulsory special camping programme for 10 days mostly during X’mas holidays. Besides activities like cleaning the College campus and its surroundings, gardening etc. are taken up by the NSS volunteers. A weightage of 5 marks will be awarded to the NSS students who possess the NSS certificates signed by the Vice Chancellor.
കാഴ്ച വെല്ലുവിളി നേരിടുന്നവരുടെ സഞ്ചാരം കൂടുതൽ സുഗമവും സുരക്ഷിതവുമാക്കുന്നതിനും, അതുവഴി കാഴ്ചപരിമിതരായ വ്യക്തികളെ സ്വയം പര്യാപ്തരാക്കുന്നതിനും അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര തലത്തിൽ അംഗീകരിക്കപ്പെട്ട ചിഹ്നമാണ് വൈറ്റ് കെയിൻ അഥവാ വെളുത്ത വടി. എല്ലാ വർഷവും ഒക്ടോബർ പതിനഞ്ചാം തീയതി ഐക്യരാഷ്ട്ര സഭ വൈറ്റ് കെയിൻ ദിനമായി ആചരിക്കുന്നു. കാഴ്ചയില്ലാത്തവരുടെ സ്വാശ്രയത്തിന്റെ പ്രതീകമായ വെളുത്ത വടിയെക്കുറിച്ച് പൊതുസമൂഹത്തെ ബോധവാന്മാരാക്കേണ്ടത് കാലഘട്ടത്തിന്റെ അനിവാര്യതയാണ്. ഈ വർഷത്തെ വൈറ്റ് കെയിൻ ദിനാചരണ പരിപാടികളുടെ ഭാഗമായി കേരള ഫെഡറേഷൻ ഓഫ് ദി ബ്ലൈൻഡ് യൂത്ത് ഫോറവും, കോഴിക്കോട് മീഞ്ചന്ത ഗവൺമെന്റ് ആർട്സ് & സയൻസ് കോളേജിലെ എൻ.എസ്.എസ്. യൂണിറ്റുകളും സംയുക്തമായി 2022 ഒക്ടോബർ 20 വ്യാഴാഴ്ച ഉച്ചക്ക് രണ്ടുമണിക്ക് വൈറ്റ് കെയിൻ ബോധവൽക്കരണ സെമിനാർ സംഘടിപ്പിച്ചു. സ്ഥലം ആർട്സ് കോളേജ് സെമിനാർ ഹാൾ. കാര്യ പരിപാടികൾ*: സ്വാഗതം - അൻസാർ പൊന്നാനി, (ജോയിന്റ് സെക്രട്ടറി, കെഎഫ്ബി യൂത്ത് ഫോറം) അധ്യക്ഷൻ - ഡോ. എടക്കോട്ട് ഷാജി (പ്രിൻസിപ്പൽ) ഉദ്ഘാടനം - ശ്രീ. കുഞ്ഞിമോയിൻ കുട്ടി (കോഴിക്കോട് അസിസ്റ്റന്റ് സിറ്റി പോലീസ് കമ്മീഷണർ)
1st October every year is observed as the National Voluntary Blood Donation Day. This year (2022), the fortnight from September 17 to October 1 is being celebrated as Raktdaan Amrit Mahotsav for promoting voluntary blood donations. On the occasion of World Heart Day, the NSS units of our college in association with Chiraku Charitable Trust & Meitra Hospital is organized a Blood Donation Camp at Government Arts and Science College, Kozhikode on 29.09.2022.
2017-18 വർഷത്തെ മികച്ച NSS യൂണിറ്റിനുള്ള ദേശീയ അവാർഡ് Dr. S. ജയശ്രീ . (പ്രിൻസിപ്പാൾ , ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് സയൻസ് കോളേജ് കാലിക്കറ്റ് ), മികച്ച NSS പ്രോഗ്രാം ഓഫീസർക്കുള്ള ദേശീയ അവാർഡ് Dr . സി.പി ബേബി ഷീബ (പ്രോഗ്രാം ഓഫീസർ , ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് സയൻസ് കോളേജ് കാലിക്കറ്റ് ) എന്നിവർ ബഹുമാനപെട്ട ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ന്റെ പക്കൽ നിന്നും ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങുന്നു.
