NATIONAL SERVICE SCHEME (NSS)

NSS is a co-curricular activity, designed for education through service to the society and prepare the students to be useful to society. The College has two NSS units under the guidance of Mr. Abdul Riyas K (Associate Professor, Department of Zoology) and Dr. Kabeer K T (Assistant Professor, Department of Economics). Every member of NSS has to attend a minimum of 120 hours of activities and compulsory special camping programme for 10 days mostly during X’mas holidays. Besides activities like cleaning the College campus and its surroundings, gardening etc. are taken up by the NSS volunteers. A weightage of 5 marks will be awarded to the NSS students who possess the NSS certificates signed by the Vice Chancellor.

2017-18 വർഷത്തെ മികച്ച NSS യൂണിറ്റിനുള്ള ദേശീയ അവാർഡ് Dr. S. ജയശ്രീ . (പ്രിൻസിപ്പാൾ , ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് സയൻസ് കോളേജ് കാലിക്കറ്റ് ), മികച്ച NSS പ്രോഗ്രാം ഓഫീസർക്കുള്ള ദേശീയ അവാർഡ് Dr . സി.പി ബേബി ഷീബ (പ്രോഗ്രാം ഓഫീസർ , ഗവണ്മെന്റ് ആർട്സ് ആൻഡ് സയൻസ് കോളേജ് കാലിക്കറ്റ് ) എന്നിവർ ബഹുമാനപെട്ട ഇന്ത്യൻ പ്രസിഡന്റ് ന്റെ പക്കൽ നിന്നും ഏറ്റുവാങ്ങുന്നു.
