The SC/ST Cell at Government Arts and Science College, Calicut, was established to address and mitigate issues related to SC/ST students in the institution as per the UGC guidelines.
Objectives
- Make higher education more accessible to students from SC/ST communities.
- Raising awareness and providing information about scholarships, fellowships, and other financial assistance opportunities for SC/ST students.
- Offer intellectual, emotional, and social help to SC/ST students.
- Provide counselling services to SC/ST students to address academic, emotional, and socialconcerns.
- To create an inclusive atmosphere, undertake sensitization programmes to educate the campus community about SC/ST concerns.
- Create a process for addressing and resolving concerns and difficulties raised by SC/ST students.
